From the Ground Up:
Exploring How Tall Buildings Work Together to Create Places
Beginning on Thursday, 4 September, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) invites you to join us for the 12th annual Global Walking Tour, a worldwide event uniting urbanists, architects, planners, and city enthusiasts in an exploration of how tall buildings contribute to urban life—not just from the skyline, but from the street level up.
How do tall buildings shape the spaces we move through every day? How do they influence our streetscapes, social interactions, and public life? In 2025, our tours will explore the powerful role of vertical urbanism in creating vibrant, livable, and connected places.
Led by members of the CTBUH Urban Habitat Assembly, each walking tour will be uniquely tailored to its host city—showcasing how local developments are designed to integrate with the community, enhance walkability, and activate public space. Whether you're a long-time CTBUH member or new to our community, we invite you to walk with us and explore how tall buildings help shape the human-scale experience of place.
